I hope all of you are enjoying summer. Now that our famous Boise River Festival is over, the hot weather has set in and it really is beginning to feel like a long hot summer ahead of us. I have to admit that I truly enjoyed the cooler weather. But then, what would the Fourth be if not hot.... .Fashion statement for the month: Stay Cool....

This Issue's Patterns:

Rompers and Panties to fit 4-5 inch dolls.
Materials: Baby yarn, Number 4 knitting needles.
 

Rompers
Cast on 20 sts. Work in k1,p1 ribbing for 3 rows.
Knit 6 rows.
Bind off 2 sts beg next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st ea side next 5 rows.
Cast on 2 sts beg next 2 rows (20 sts).
Work even for 6 rows.
Work in k1, p1 ribbing for 3 rows. Bind off 6 sts beg next 2 rows. Work even in knit for 3 ridges.  Bind off. With last st, ch 25 for tie. Attach yarn to other side of bib, ch 25 for second tie. Sew back seam.

Panties
Cast on 20 sts. K1, p1 ribbing for 3 rows.
Purl 1 row. Knit 1 row. Attach contrasting color and purl two rows (Ruffle). Continuing with main color, purl 1 row, knit one row. With contrasting color purl 2 rows (Ruffle). Continuing with main color, bind off 2 sts beg next 2 rows. Dec 1 st ea side next 6 rows. Work one row even. Inc is ea side next 6 rows. Cast on 2 sts beg next 2 rows. Work even for 8 rows. Work in k1,p1 ribbing for 3 rows. Bind off. Sew side seams.

Fast to Knit Dishcloth
Materials: Worsted weight cotton, knitting needles No. 8

Cast on 36 sts. Knit 8 rows.
Pattern: Row 1: K8,*p4,k4, rep from * across to last 4 sts, k4.
Row 2: K4, then k the k sts, p the p sts.
Repeat last two rows one more time.
Next, K4,*P4,k4, repeat from * across to last 4 sts, k4.
Following row: K4, then k the k sts, p the p sts.
Repeat last two rows once more.
Repeat the last 8 rows 4 more times.
Knit 8 rows. Bind off.
